AbstractThis note shows that orthodox quantum mechanics (OQM) entails a Berkelian idealism regarding properties (BIRP): a quantum only 'has' a quantitative property upon observation of that property. It is argued that this BIRP poses an issue for the development of a theory of gravitation in the framework of OQM, for how can a quantum curve space-time if it doesn't have the property energy in absence of observation to begin with?
